Avery grew up in Wichita, Kansas, where her passion for sports began at a young age—most notably with soccer. Her dedication on and off the field earned her a scholarship to Kansas State University, where she played collegiate soccer and earned her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. During her senior season, Avery experienced an ACL tear that ended her final year of play. While the injury was challenging, the rehabilitation process became a pivotal moment in her life—it ignited a deep interest in physical therapy and a desire to help others navigate their own recoveries.
She went on to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Creighton University. During her final clinical rotation, Avery was introduced to Rock and Armor, where she instantly connected with the welcoming community and the active lifestyle Boise has to offer. Avery brings empathy and firsthand experience to her work, aiming to empower others through their setbacks just as she was empowered during her own journey.
Outside the clinic, you’ll find her exploring the Boise area, taking fitness classes, hiking local trails, and discovering new coffee shops and restaurants.
