Kenton, a local graduate from Centennial High School in 2016. 2x All Idaho for football and was the 2015 defensive player of the year with 93 tackles, 25 tackles for loss, 9 sacks, 2 interceptions, and 3 touchdowns. He had over 10 Division 1 football scholarships and ended up choosing Portland State University. He earned All-Big Sky honors his junior and senior year, had a career high 13 tackles and 2 tackles for loss against Idaho State. He also had a career high in sacks against Simon Fraser his senior year with 3 sacks. Kenton finished his college career at Portland State with over 110 tackles.
After college Kenton has continued to purse his professional football dreams. Due to Covid in 2020, Kenton joined the IFL which is an arena football league. He played for the Iowa Barnstormers in 2021, and although he missed 4 games with injury, he finished Top 10 in the IFL in sacks and tackles for loss. The following year Kenton changed IFL teams and joined the Northern Arizona Wranglers for the 2022 season. He was one of the team’s leading tacklers that helped propel the Wranglers franchise to win their first ever Indoor Football Championship.
When Kenton has free time, he loves watching sports. He loves the aspects of competing at everything, especially church basketball and video games. Kenton also loves to cook, hike, and spend time in nature. He enjoys self-reflecting on God’s beautiful land with some amazing food!
