Lauren’s love for athletics dates back to her fond childhood memories of running the mile back in grade school in Westlake Village, CA. In 2009, Lauren moved to Idaho and attended The Ambrose School in Meridan focusing on the rigorous Classical Christian education that was offered there. After graduating high school magna cum laude, Lauren moved to San Diego, CA to attend Point Loma Nazarene University. She joined the D2 track team her sophomore year in hopes of finally chasing her passion for running. With hard work, dedication to the sport, and great coaching, Lauren became PLNU’s top 200m and 400m sprinter during her time and helped her team achieve their highest ranking in the PacWest Conference championship scoring meet. Upon graduation from PLNU in 2019 with a BS in Business Management Entrepreneurship, Lauren moved back to the Treasure Valley to continue her track career at Northwest Nazarene University earning a full athletic scholarship. While also working full time and earning her Master’s degree in Business Administration, Lauren became the runner-up in the 400m at the Great Northwest Athletic Conference track and field championship meet in 2021 and claims multiple all-time top ten records at NNU. She is just shy of the school record in the 200m and ranks #3 all-time in the 400m at NNU.
Continuing her love for athletics, Lauren began coaching at Rock and Armor in Fall 2021. She obtained her USAW Sports Performance Coaching Certification in the winter of 2021-2022. From personal experience, Lauren understands the importance of showing up, pushing through hard workouts, and having a coach that believes in you. Lauren joined the Rock and Armor team hoping to give back the same vision of success through hard work that her coaches shared with her.
Competitive by nature, Lauren joined the Boise Black Widows flag football team in April 2022 as the running back and was nicknamed “Cheat Code” or “Wheels”. She helped the team place first in the Treasure Valley Women’s Flag Football Bowl that took place in August 2022 and is a rushing and touchdown leader on the team. Besides playing flag football, in her free time, you can find Lauren outside: hiking with dogs, wake surfing, running, lifting, rock climbing, and chasing sunsets.
