Lizzy Spencer

Physical Therapist

Lizzy grew up in Rancho Murieta, California, where she spent most of her childhood as a competitive gymnast. After sustaining a shoulder injury, she experienced firsthand the impact physical therapy can have on recovery and returning to the activities and sports you love. That experience sparked her passion for the profession and ultimately inspired her career path.
 
Following gymnastics, Lizzy competed in competitive cheerleading for three years before joining the Boise State Cheer Team, where she proudly cheered all four years of college and served as team captain during her senior year. Her athletic background gives her a unique understanding of the physical and mental demands athletes face, allowing her to connect with patients and help them confidently return to the activities they enjoy.

Lizzy earned her Bachelor of Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Boise State University before completing her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Creighton University in Phoenix, Arizona. During her final clinical rotation, she had the opportunity to train at Rock and Armor Physical Therapy & Sports Performance, where she immediately felt at home. She was drawn to the clinic’s contagious energy, welcoming community, and passionate team, making it an easy decision to begin her career there.

Lizzy is passionate about helping patients of all ages achieve their goals through individualized, evidence-based care. She strives to create a positive, encouraging environment where patients feel supported throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Outside of the clinic, Lizzy enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, floating the river, exploring local coffee shops, spending time with friends and family, and cheering on the Boise State Broncos.
