Marissa grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, where she attended Benet Academy High School. Following high school, she accepted a softball scholarship at Northwestern University where she earned a B.A. in biology with a concentration in physiology and cell bio, with a minor in psychology. Between undergrad and grad school, Marissa worked as a research assistant through Northwestern’s physical therapy department in a study developed to test how exercise affected pain in older adults. She then went on to pursue her doctorate degree in physical therapy from Creighton University in Omaha, NE. Marissa was first introduced to Rock and Armor on one of her clinical rotations. She fell in love with the Boise area and the Rock and Armor family, and soon decided to start her career in this location.

When Marissa is not working, she enjoys outdoor activities, playing sports, providing service to her community, touring around to her favorite restaurants, and traveling.
